www.atlascoaching.coProject Overview
Atlas was conceived as a scalable SaaS product to streamline how personal trainers manage their clients. Through user interviews with trainers, I identified key pain points around workflow duplication, lack of automation, and poor visibility of client progress.
I led the end-to-end product design process — from defining the core value proposition and user journeys, through low-fidelity wireframes, to a scalable UI system in Figma. The platform balances operational efficiency with clarity, using modular components and structured information architecture to simplify complex management tasks.
The Process
This process was effective because it was rooted in real user insight from the beginning. Conducting interviews with personal trainers allowed me to identify genuine pain points rather than making assumptions about the fitness space. Pairing this with competitor analysis helped contextualise those insights within the wider market, revealing gaps and opportunities. By mapping user journeys and auditing workflows, I was able to translate research into clear structural decisions, ensuring the product addressed both functional needs and usability challenges.
The progression from low- to high-fidelity prototyping, supported by iterative peer reviews, created space to test and refine ideas before committing to final solutions. Developing a design system further strengthened the outcome by ensuring consistency and scalability across the marketing site and merchandise touchpoints. Overall, the process balanced research, validation and system thinking, resulting in a cohesive final product that was both user-centred and strategically positioned.
Trainer Review
"The idea of Atlas would revolutionise how I conduct sessions with my clients, having a companion always on your side would take a lot of day-to-day stress away from admin tasks to allow me to focus fully on my clients."
